I found this platter in a box of non bottle items. It is oval H-10 5/8 W-8 1/2 . It has an embossed picture of a man holding a tube or scrool in his right hand, embossed on his right-Born 1843 on his left-Died 1901. The outer face of the rim has a flower at the bottom with a wreath up both sides.Along the inside face of the rim above his is head embossed in glass dots-IT IS GODS WAY, below his feet imbossed in glass dots-HIS WILL BE DONE. there is no name on the platter but it must be William McKindley. Is it a common platter? please help

Yeah, it's McKinley. I've seen that platter before, or similar ones. $45 seems to be an average value. They're neat for the historical aspect.

Kent thank you for the information. Sorry that I spelled Amethyst wrong. Some day I will learn how to use a computer, at 72 Iam lucky to be able to see the screen.
Thanks again

Dave
