Did another hazmat recon today, and found boucoup sh!t, both good and bad. Found a good Saratoga bottle but with some condition issues, 2 master inks, a teal Carter's and a very cool Continental Inks and Mucilage that is essentially a giant version of the C-259 shown in Covills, a very old blob top torpedo, and a bunch of other stuff. I'll post some pics, here's the Saratoga when I first saw it.

Of course I thought it would be half a Saratoga like they usually are when you see something like that on the bottom, but nooooo...

It's the one with State of New York on it, which I believe is a good'un, but it's got some serious river wear, a lip chip, and some inside stain that I doubt will come out short of tumbling it. I think this one might be a candidate though, I'll have to see if I can find Leo's card...

By total coincidence I just happen to be going to pick up my wife at dance camp in upstate NY tomorrow and I'm going to stop in at the National Bottle Museum in Ballston Spa, go figure!

And more, it was a pretty good spot. My buddy found another one of the stoneware Carter's master inks that I had just been asking about last week. Weird how you never see a thing and then 2 or 3 jump out at you in a short space of time.

WOW! I am floored. Absolutely great pictures! How did you get them? It's hard to explain to non-divers what it's like to find something underwater and you did it with one simple snapshot. Really cool.

Man. I wish I was finding those saratogas around here, but sadly, they almost never turn up. Beautiful picture. Looks to be not bad visibility as well. You'd think that with the polution (and the hazmat situation?) that it wouldn't look quite so good. Great find and did I mention - I love the pics!

I'm going away for the weekend but I'll clean this stuff up and hopefully post some more pics next week. I'm also going back out there Monday, curse the bad luck!
