I found this jar and cant find it in the RB. I apologize in advance for the pics, I took them while it was in the display case. It's an atmospheric but the lid says 'Wheaton Apothecary Pat Reg 1893' I believe was the year. Anyone have any clue, I havent had much luck on the internet finding anything about Wheaton atmospheric jars, just Millville. There is no writing on the bottle at all, totally clean.

It's in the back of the book, under the "& etc" section. The book details the lid should say 'WHEATON APOTHECARY PRODUCTS SINCE 1888'. Qts are $12-15, with 1/2 gals listed at $15-20. {redbook #10} Hope this helps.

It should come out of the case to see the details. I think those are usually marked Wheaton and have that fake Wheaton pontil on the base.
No clue for the year at all.
Maybe Wheaton made fakes of themselves? [:D][:D]

I took it out and looked at it, it didn't say Wheaton anywhere on the bottle except for on the lid, but there was a pontil on the bottom of the bottle

Are you sure it was a pontil (raised and sharp) or was it the wheaton fake pontil (depressed shaped like a drunk o) as pictured here. Looks Wheaton to me and they made tons of them.

Whitall specimen jars have actual pontils and would look similar. The lid is wrong if it's a Whitall jar though. They used a closure like that as well as a much more robust iron closure. I have one laying around somewhere. Ground lip.
