I feel so needy.... i also have this very very dark olive 3pm,applied taper (so i do know that it's 1840-70) it also has a kick type pontil with a 3 and a B on the slope of it. Im wondering if it was a beer and what it would go for? Ive check my books, kovels and ebay but havent found much. I know that with early beers they used thick dark glass, but thats all ive found. it's 9 3/4 tall. The little bottle is a kickapoo oil, i have found a lot on that but only for the aqua and the shaded olive yellow. mine is clear with a slight lav tint 5 1/4 pontil. and it only says kickapoo oil.

Hi and welcome Hayes.

Your black is a generic type bottle that was used for all sorts of things, most would have contained beer/stout/porter though. Dates probably somwhere between the 1870's and 1900.
