Just found this online at a little "handmade for sale" site.
Paid a little too much, perhaps but I've never seen one with this embossing in many years of collecting.
I've seen a larger bottle with "Triturations" embossed on it, but never with "San Francisco, Cal."

What the frack are "Triturations" you ask?
Here's a little "T.M.I." for you:

Trituration is the process by which a micronutrient is standardized on a carrier for better distribution in the final blend, ease of scaling, and homogeneity. Watson utilizes a specialized blending technique to homogeneously distribute a potent micronutrient throughout a carrier. The resulting trituration can be customized to any level of active to carrier ratio or percentage by the blending of a micronutrient on a carrier such as Di-Calcium Phosphate, Maltodextrin, or microcrystalline cellulose, among others. By eliminating the need to scale off pure micronutrients in small quantities, correct dosage is assured and costly errors prevented. Scaling waste of costly pure micronutrients is also minimized. Most importantly, triturations provide homogeneous dispersion of the micronutrients in your finished blend or product.

It looks like "botlguy" and "lordbud" are onto something here with the Eastern then Western connection. As Dr. Walker's Vinegar Bitters were in CA and New York maybe Boericke liked Dr. Walker's bottle and decided to use it for his medicines.

Here's a photo (courtesy of Jeff Wichmann's Antique Western Bitters Book.......A Great Book by the way!) showing the Dr. Walker's Vinegar Bitters Bottles.

Definitely buy that bottle for your collection!

Thx all. I went back and purchased this bottle today. This forum is such a great resource to talk with educated bottle collectors. Def gives me confidence to go after a bottle like this and know that I'm getting a fair price (or maybe even a good deal in this case).

Debeel - great bottles in that photo. This one is very similar in shape & lip to the pair on the left, I only wish the color was as sweet. Mine is a light aqua.

Smooth base, see photo. I'm new at this, but I recognize this is BIM... would you call is '2 piece post mold' ?? The bottle has lots of bubbles, several o nthe bottom were on the surface and popped. Not chips, open bubbles and very small / minor. There appears to be some rubbing (or case wear type) marks on the bottom. Whatever this bottle was used for it was pulled off a shelf many times. I mentioned before about the distinct line felt inside the neck where the lip was applied. I think this is the coolest feature! There are several elongated bubbles in the neck that are pulled up toward the lip. One of these is very large. I'll post a few addt'l photo's.

I'm tempted to offer this for sale, it's really out of place in my little collection. It's either my first good bottle or it will help pay to add several other bottles. Either way it's front and center on the shelf for now!!

Hey Jason -
it's never enough TMI for me - knowing the history, usage & stories behind the bottles & the products really makes this hobby fascinating.
It's got me hooked!

Hi Botlguy -
how about posting a photo of your WAW-WAW bottles? I don't know them...just searched and read a bit but am still in the dark. Nothing like a few pics to clear things up.
