bottle dive on the Megnetawan river

decide to go and try a new location this weekend that a little bit north of where I live but not too far away , little town of Burks Falls Ontario on the megnetawan River , lots of history to the area was sawmills, hotels and steamships all came into this town and passed thru this small river . not very big now only about 1200 population .
anyways was a few finds at the docks in town , mostly same kinds of bottles I was finding at other places . kind of hard to place to swim not a lot of visibility but once I got down to bottom I always seemed to be finding something to bring up .

in picture 4 coca cola bottles 2 6oz 40's-50's era hobbleskirts , brown's beverages gravenhurst red and white acl bottle , 2 stubby bottles , broken pure springs bottle ( odd colour green and yellow) , lea and perrins Worcestershire sauce bottle .

the only really old bottle I found was this Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce bottle , looks to be common but from early 1900's maybe there is something else old down there . when I first saw it underwater I though it was just a modern beer or liquor bottle and didn't realise it was older till I got to docks

really nice local ACL bottle , surprised label is so nice considering river was so dirty , the red and white label is in incredible condition for likely being under water since the 60's at least . still the brown's beverage bottle is pretty common for this area but not usually found in such good condition , I've found this bottle a few times before but label is usually ruined .

more coca cola bottles , one is from 1949 and other 1959 , both cleaned up well .

the stubby bottles didn't really clean up at all , funny I never found this bottle before this summer but now I've found 3 in last 2 weeks .

Hi RCO,

Are you just picking up what you see? Try digging behind rocks and logs and don't be afraid to dig deep. If the area has the history you say it does then the older glass will be deep into the bottom.

went back to the same spot and found some more bottles , nothing really old but a neat local .
in picture Brown's Beverages 30 OZ bottle green and white label , browns beverages 7 oz clear embossed bottle , 3 coca cola bottles , really damaged kist bottle and a pepsi ndnr bottle .

another brown's beverage bottle really good condition 7 oz clear bottle from 50's era not as old as the ones I found in gravenhurst as it has brown's beverages on bottle not JD brown

really unusual local bottle , have never found this bottle before in any condition and can't recall ever seeing one for sale either . its from Brown's Beverages Gravenhurst Ontario and 30 OZ . hard to believe the acl label survived being underwater since late 50's-60's I guess is when it had been used . found it close to some old docks maybe it had been covered in sand at some point but a great find , i'm thinking its a rare local bottle as I've never found one before and I've found like ever bottle this company has made from 40's-60's era
