Looks like a beautiful artisan piece. Modern, but still very attractive. We collect what we like and I like it.

I agree wholly with the above. Also I think the base was ground to enable it to stand correctly. I had a couple modern flasks that were base ground that way and resulted in a very solid standing bottle. Very attractive flask. The lines inside the lip are grooves I believe from the cooling process or marks from lip tooling (?). OR are they pry marks from hooking the cork... but why would a modern bottle have received an antiquated means of removing a cork... and for what? These, if modern, were to be decorations. Strange. Again, nice looking.
