Cool metal torpedo bottle

Could be an 81 mm round but it looks like one of those WW2 USAAC practice bombs. We used to pick those up at the Eglin AFB range and sell to fishermen for boat anchors. Always best to let the pros at it. Tell them you want it if it is not lethal.
