I think it's 1923. And I think is says Nesquehoning on the bottom (unless I'm thinking of another bottle he has). You just don't see these ones very often...
Someone - tell me something interesting about it. I love deco sodas. []
Here's a good website for you deco/designer bottle enthusiast. Of course it doesn't show every bottle ever made, but it should help with the basics and some of the dates. Just click on the blue boxes for the various time periods.
in the deco soda bottles book by brian wade your bottle is listed as very scarce and valued at $20, but the book is dated 2003. it's a good book but i wish there were an updated version.
I just checked e-Bay and there is currently a pair of "variations" of this bottle, with an opening amount of $9.99 and "zero" bids so far. It has two days left. Here's the link if you wish to check it out. (note: this link will only be good for about 60 days after the item closes).
Thanks, Bob! When I get home, I'll bookmark that site. I love the bottle graphics on there. Anyone know what kind of soda it contained?
Thanks bubbas dad!

Typically, I would say almost all of the deco bottles - and many of the generic acls - contained various "Fruit Flavors," like grape ~ strawberry ~ orange ... etc; etc. As all of these type of bottles had crown tops, the flavor and bottler information would be on the cap. And just in case you are not familiar with the term "Crown Closure," it was invented in 1892. (See image below). Most deco bottles will date in the 1920s and 30s when the term "Deco" was used not only with bottles, but also with other period pieces as well ... such as vases, lamps, furniture, etc. It was a design period of swirls, curves, and other outlandish shapes.
