Any thoughts as to age or origin? I'm hoping it not another modern bottle made to look old.

No idea really.
I have seen some items come out of Mexico with that soldered metal covering.
The crudeness of the lips make me think it was never intended to be sealed with a cork so it was probably decorative in nature. Would make a neat candle holder.

I had a double spouted bottle once, looked a bit differrent from the way this one is made . I was told it was a ceremonial bottle pertaining to an Indian wedding , do not know if that was correct or not , this one may be something different being the top is made differently . This could be a carafe that held two different variations of liquid as well if the inside is made as two compartments.

Hello Joe,

Well it's not great grandad's traditional looking gemel bottle. Check this one. Is it 2 separate bottles incorporated into one? Looks kinda 'minty.'
