This has nothing to do with ebay per se, but more about business in general. The last post made me think about it, and I thought I would share this regarding Customer Service:
A satisfied customer will tell, on average, 5 people.
A dissatified customer will tell, on average, 20 people.
The internet increases the 2nd number, but not necessarily the first.
Customer service is essential. You do not know what your customers will say to others, but if you provide poor customer service, people talk about it... and other potential customers stay away. While you know you may have lost one customer, you will never know how many other potential customers you have lost due to word of mouth from one person's bad experience with you.
Think about it. How many of you come on here and say, "Hey, I just had a great experience with soandso."
However - bad experience and you can't wait to get on here and tell everyone!
