About 2 weeks ago, I came across this stream near where I just moved and had to look. Saw a few surface shards and some interesting enough to take a poke. Went there a week later and come up with few nice coloured preserve jar lids, so figured I just had to move.

well haven't been back till today, of all days. Here in Southern Ontario the temp in the shade when I went out was 92F, an humid as hell. I figured I'd likely be in tree shade so went ahead. After about 20 minutes I was soaked - like I'd been in the rain. I did manage to find where the critters are hidin' though and brought home the first full on I found. It's a dark green 8" tall Dr. J.G.B Siegert & Hijos, so about TOC I'd say. Nice little 3 part mold with a bit of a crude lip.

Hope to get back soon.

Well, wasn't too sure how good this would be but turns out it's an old farm tip dating back to the mid 1800's. I met the property manager wo watches the place for a friend and he said I was welcome any time....so...here's some pics of the last 2 days' diggin'...

1st - the hole
