I've found a few of that form. As far as I can remember, all have been turn-mold. I was always under the impression that they originally contained wine, but don't take that as authoritative.
These were usually mineral water bottles, but they could be used for other things as well, especially when the bottles were reused (they were popular for this use since most weren't embossed). SHA calls them Apollinaris Style bottles, which is what they were advertised as by the Illinois Glass Company who was making them in the US: https://sha.org/bottle/Typing/IGCo1906/IGCo1906page250.jpg (Interesting to see that turn molds were still being used in the US in the early 20th century, I thought they'd been phased out in North America by that point).
