The ones pictured appear to be fakes. There are original stencilled fountain syrup jugs. I've seen 2-3 from ohio for generic manufacturers (no brand).

Kola-Mint pint size jugs are fairly common and come with several variations of the lettering. They go around $20 on ebay and at shows.

I have three original stencilled syrup jugs in my collection.

This is a Celerytone Kola from Kalamazoo MI in a quart size.

I have a Birmingham Celery=Cola in a half gallon, one of two I've seen.

Gallon Nashville Celery=Cola syrup jug is the only one I've seen. There are also several gallon Birminghams but I've not been able to acquire one.

They could have been re-fired with the new lettering but I would still consider them fakes. The thermometers look new as well.
ORIGINAL: SODAPOPBOB

The link I posted says genuine jugs have the lettering "fired under the glaze," and if it is a fake the lettering will easily "scrape off."
