GIN FLASK?

Would like some help identifying this bottle, would I be correct in calling this bottle a gin flask? The base is flat but dimpled with what looks like potstones, could this be a pontiled base or smooth? Thanks ......PTB.

that is a pontil on the base... never seen a gin flask or coffin quite like that though... It could possibly be a New England piece but I would bet it is an English or Dutch bottle...

It is called a case gin.

Maybe not so rare but a vr. cool and unusual gin....Love it!
