Could it be considered a "bonne femme" (a good woman) bottle example?
Blown in a 12-rib dip-mould. Clear glass. Blowpipe pontil scar. 12.3cm high.

what is a "good woman" bottle? I dont think I have heard that term.
It almost looks like a freeblown bottle. Does it have a seam?

Willy Van den Bossche "ANTIQUE GLASS BOTTLES Their history and evolution (1500-1850)" define a
"bonne femme: The French name for a colourless, cylindrical, optically blown decanting bottle made at Liège (Belgium) in the early 18th century." photos in pages 355(2) and 356(2).
The bottles shown in his book are bigger than mine, but they look similar in shape (the ribs)
I'd say it is quite old, but I don't know if it was used for chemical, pharmacy, perfume, ...
No seams.
Thanks,
Juan Carlos

Interesting...its new to me.
I think that my bottle is too little to be a decanter.
Has anybody seen another one?
