It was a 1930s ~ 1940s dump, but underlying it was a TOC dump and whenever they went down deep to put in foundations, really nice stuff would come out : ginger jars, case gins, ginger beers etc. This was ONE day's collecting from the site:
The ceramic jars to the right were Ronuk - a furniture polish - and very popular items for the ladies, as vases. On the left are Phillips Magnesia bottles. There are three sizes ~ large, medium and the considerably less frequent small size. I got two-and-a-half thousand of these !!! Yes, I counted them when I packed them in crates. And yes, there was a point to it because they are good sellers and have brought in a tidy sum [][] !!
