I recently got a box of old bottles out of the basement of my grandparents house. I got some several nice bottles, most of them common (7up,Maltine,MoM,ect) but I came across this odd green bottle. Its about 8 inches tall. It leans to the side a little and is not as symettrical as most bottles. It also has no seams and several air bubbles. There are no markings on the bottom either. Can anyone help me ID this bottle or help with a round about age? Thanks Wes

Looks like a turn mold bottle, typically about 1905-1915, though it could be a little earlier. I have seen these with labels indicating they held spring water, but they could have held other products, too.

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing a cork went into the top?

You guess correctly. Cork closure. I own several of this form with labels for VT spring waters. Fairly common bottles, but neat looking. Jim G

If you are selling it please let me know. I am working on using some similar bottles in a homepage blog project I am working on. RED Matthews <bottlemysteries@yahoo.com>
