Hey everyone. I joined this forum a couple of days ago and have thoroughly enjoyed all the different views and info from a bunch of knowledgeable people. Thought I would take a moment to tell you about me, share a few photos, and tell you why I searched out a forum on bottles. My name is Kelley Baker, I'm 45 years old, and I live in the panhandle of Texas. I have been an avid metal detector enthusiast since the 80's and have helped locate some Indian War battle sites, Military camps and the like for the Texas State Historical Commision. In short I'm a relic hunter and know very little about bottles. There is an old Military Fort site nearby on private land which I have permission to hunt on whenever I want. This site was " thoroughly excavated" many years ago! lol! Imagine my surprise, when quite by accident , my buddies and I came across the hospital area pits! Only a digger knows the thrill of not only possesing but being the one to pull that 130+ year old piece of history out of the ground! I have over night become an avid bottle enthusiast. Unfortunately, I am an ignorant enthusiast as well. So please just chuckle to yourself when you read some of my stupid questions. A pleasure to meet you all. Here is just a small portion of what we have pulled out of the ground. Kelley
