Hi ! I picked up this Holy Water bottle for a dollar at my local Salvation Army. The mold seam stops at the base of the neck and it has strap sides, like a flask. Applied lip.
It has HOLY WATER embossed one side and a crown with a cross on the other.
There are some salt deposit stains on the inside which I think will come out with a good cleansing (pun intended).[:)]
Are these relatively rare and collectible ?
What do I use to clean it ?
Thanks for any and all info.

Would it be BIM from 1890's or later ?

THERE ARE ALOT OF DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF THIS BOTTLE. MANY OF THEM HAVE A CROSS EMBOSSED. IT'S NICE THAT YOURS HAS ITS TOP. WORTH AROUND 15 TO 20 BUCKS. 1890's IS ABOUT RIGHT

Thank you for the info !

I've managed to get out most of the residue from the inside, it's cleaned up nice and sparkly.
Thank you again !

Hello Calico
Here is a recent ebay auction that had a bottle similar to yours. I have seen em go as high as $70 for shapes similar to both bottles. Nice bottle not the less. And welcome to the forum. Don't be a stranger and show us some of your other finds. Ben

Thank you for the welcome Ben.

I used to go with my brother in the early 70's to dig bottles here in Massachusetts.
I then started looking at flea markets, SA and antique stores. I had a very nice collection of historical flasks and inks (my favorites) accumulated.
I ended up selling them on Ebay for Xmas gifts for my kids one year but I still keep on the lookout when I go into antique stores and flea markets.

There's nothing like a digging them out of the ground though.

Thank you All again !
