I think they still want their things to get as good a price as possible. The buyer wants everything the seller sells, but the seller doesn't just want to sell to the buyer. Seems like a win-win to me...

I'm sure there's lots of people who use ebay cause it's more practical for them than pulling up in front of someone's house once in a while with a wagon load of wares...
