i have i light blue jar,that says mellin's food co. boston. u.s large size.any info would be nice

Most Mellin's jars are common but there are a few older rare ones. Mellin's made what they called prechewed and partialy digested food for infants and invalids.[&:]

Don't know what really was in them.

it was a screw top so i didnt think it was that old. but its a nice blue bottle,and looks good on my shelf, thanks for the info.

Hey Cap, any idea who prechewed it.??
Now there's a job.Can you just see a bunch of guys sitting around having a few pops.
So what do you do,"Oh,I prechew food for infants, I've got a feeling these people were MAINIACS.[:D]

Nope Eric, Not none of me.....I wounder if it was ground and pureed or broken down with chemicals.

God I hope it wasen't really chewed.
