finally got around to cleaning this one we dug last fall. has a little bit of scratching under the embossing but came out nice base is hinge mold

it's a nice shade of green top and bottom with a much lighter shadeof green thru the middle of the bottle. pretty cool.

almost missed it Jim. i was using the scratcher and moving thedirt back between my legs. if it wasn't for one of the crew seeing it, it's quite possible i would have not seen it and buried it again... gets kinda dark in the bottom of the ole shitter.... looking forward to Manville on sunday. our crew is headed down on a road trip. are you familiar with the area? we're looking for a place to eat lunch.see ya then.... jimbo

Those LYON bottles have been of great interest to me for years. I am amazed at how popular they are and how they have retained their value in spite of not being terribly rare. I suspect that it is the variety of color that helps a lot plus they are usually quite crude looking. Am I correct that they were an ant poison? That is what I remember being told.

yes, the Lyon's Powder bottles are in the " bug killer " category. this color is not so rare and places this one in the $100 range. the color runs that collectors put together can be awesome and certainly contributeto the popularity and price of these bottles. i get an attachment to the pieces i dig and usually have a hard time selling/trading the better stuff..... jim
