RE: Mike Dolcini(CalDigr2) passing

I just finished posting this on Jeff Wichmann's American Bottle post about Mike....thought I'd repost here as well:

"Damn! really sad to be reading this after getting home from work tonight. I think I first met him in 2005 when digging in and around Sacramento as a newbie to the bottle collecting/digging hobby. I got to dig with him on a site in downtown Sacramento that same year & like everyone said he was a walking encyclopedia on bottles and digging techniques. He wouldn’t share all his secrets(he wasn’t a fool) but he helped me and others in many ways. …especially on the Antique Bottles-net site…He would share alot of useful information to new people to the hobby over the years.
Damn! I’m really going to miss talking to him at the bottle shows and online.
My prayers go out to his family and the rest of the bottle community who knew him well."

I'll miss you Mike,
Doug

Sad for the ones left behind, Hopefully he's doing great and there's digging in the afterlife. Liked his post about his gettaway cabin place? I could see them scattering his ashes there and maybe in some pits.
