Just want to add one more post. First off sorry about the poor quality pics of pics. Dug befor I had a good camera. Anyway this is that 20x6' I have spoke of in other posts. Firts off I had to go through 10'of rock and brick to get to the use layer. Started off in 1930's and 10' later found some pontil like the blue unembossed soda at bottom. Took 5 nights to dig and hit 100 degress allmost every day. One thing I must say it was nice and cool in that hole. We didn't find anything real great only two blanks sodas no bitters, a busted scroll flask, nice umbrella ink, a nice skull clay pipe. Over one hundred whole bottles mostly common stuff. Still it was a blast. Guy I dug with said he thought it was dip sorta went 1850s- 70s real fast. The house was built in the 70's but had other structors as early as 1830's It just seems to massive of a privy for 1830's-1870s before the larger house was built.??? We have spent hours probing that yard looking for any sign of older ones but never had any luck. Any thoughts?

I am sure that was the old one.Sounds like they kept using it and dipping it.
The house my puce eagle came from was 1836. The pit was big and had bottles from the 30s 70s & 50s in it including my flask.

You need to take a clear close up of the stuff. I see a ghost floating over head [:D]

Try lighting the picture from the side rather than straight on using a flash. Set the picture up a little ways off and use slight telephoto setting framing the picture completely in your viewfinder.
