A three piece mold with a cup mold bottom is always a good find and although short the neck resembles a ladys leg. That is the finish style used on Wines and champers but that is a whiskey bottle body. Can't say I have ever heard of that name and marking.

Nice find, very interesting.

Phillipeville is in southern Belgium in the french speaking district.

Man,this stuff has been around along time.

Also listed as bitter liqueurs.

Invented in 1837 by Gaetan Picon, a French sergent serving in Algeria, who later lived in southern Belgium. It is a bitter aperitif used to increase the appetite. The word amer in French means bitter.

Had to go to several sites just to gleem this much info.

May have to check this stuff out. Yeah thats just what a fat little dude like me needs is an increased appetite.[sm=lol.gif]

Looks like you found yourself a goodun.[:)]
