Nice stuff ECO, like them all but that "Home Plate" embossed Yonkers is just awesome !!!!

Thanks Jim! Yeah, its a great bottle. I especially like the arrows that come off the top, it really adds to the design.

Now if I can only find the matching codd....

he hazard and hazard is the older variant of that bottle, and in gasoline? Amazing!

I couldn't believe this was practically sitting on the surface and was still whole. The only thing that saved it was that the neck was angled downhill!

That's some great info! I really like that the bottle can be dated to such a short period

"Later, from 1887 to 1893 the company became Hazard, Hazard & Co. and was run only by John C. Hazard and Roland N. Hazard."

This was actually only about 1mm below the surface, I almost dropped a rock right on it! I wish I had my camera, because it was embossing-up and looked unbelievable. It has a nick on the lip and base, but both are on the back, so it displays very well!

Apparently these are rare in any color other than cobalt.

That's very nice. Definitely a piece to display.

A number of slicks came out too. Some nice/some common.

This shard came out of the older side (in the same hole as some 1880ish shards). Any ideas on what it came from?

It looks like one of those "end of day" pieces, or nailsea glass, to me.

Hey Dustin,

That Hazard, Hazard & Co. is a gem indeed. There's a menu of Hazard products in this advertisement. From the 1888 St Louis Medical & Surgical Journal. I can't figure out how to cut out the ad and stick it up here, darn it.

There's some earlier Hazards listed on this Little Rhody page.

It is the color of nicely refined cod liver oil, and I speak from experience there.
