Ever see the likes? It's in the Mum family, but I've never seen a mum that is half one color and half another on the same bloom. One has the white half lower than the purple; another has the purple half lower than the white; one is just all white; and the rest are purple. Got it with some new fish because our aquarium was dull and low-stocked (just lake fish, lol.)

I was once big on flowers. Each year I get something odd--not that the species was odd, but something genetic went awry or it bred differently and gave me something unique.

An oddity among Daylilys from the Easter before last--might have been two Easters ago.... I rarely recall specific dates. Now back to preparing my speech... oh joy.

My mother called things like that "sports". I don't know why but she was a florist and owned a couple greenhouses so I took her at her word.

This is planted over my Basset Hound I lost 3 years ago on Thanksgiving Day. It's called a Trumpet or Hummingbird flower. The blooms are about 4 inches long. I think about my buddy Rufus every time I walk by it.

I was fascinated with botany until about grade five, Eric.
Goodman, most of my pets are cremated, but the small ones are in a graveyard of sorts outside the bedrooms. We have a trumpet vine as well. I should keep my mouth shut on what I was going to say as I've been angry much today and it'd turn into a.... yep. Starting, lol.
