Old Jar

[Road Dog]

I'm not sure what this held. There are no mold lines it has a flared lip and an open pontil. To top that off it has it's original matching lid. The jar itself is over 11" tall.Can anyone tell me anything about it.The mouth of Jar is not ground but the lid is ground and fits perfect.

Hey Road Dog -
Nice Jar. I saw a pair of these sell (seperately) on eBay's Live auction recently. I don't have the URL for the auction but may find it again and post later. One had a lid and the other did not.

I would describe them as utility jars or bottles.
