found this insulator in lake of bays Ontario at south portage , its the location where steamships used to stop and there was a railway that took them about a mile to next lake and in such connected lake of bays to Huntsville areas. was considered one of the smallest railways in the world and no longer exists .

the insulator is olive green in colour and has some damage on the back side , no makers mark ( might be same one as pictured in deenodeans post ) . is a number 4 on back , not sure if its worth anything in its current condition but is a neat souvenir if nothing else . found a couple other insulators at this location but they were totally broken and a couple bottles as well .

Always cool to find insulators. Yeah, it's the same as the insulator in deenodeans post as you said, at least as far as manufacture and CD number, assuming that a <> Diamond I see on the front skirt. Neat find..

Yup, same style as Deenodeans, which is a CD 102.

That style was used for telephone, so they pop up all over the place. Having the 4 on the rear is a little more rare in Ontario. In mint condition, that piece would be worth 5-10 or so.
