Hi,
I found this little bottle with red screw cap at the old farmsite. It is 2" high with the cap. The glass has minute bulbs (like grapes) on the outside. It does have a scent. I'm looking for age, manufacturer and use, if possible. Has anyone else come across something like this? Thank you.

I'm guessing a cosmetic of some sort. The glass part looks like something for the vanity, but the cap is too clunky for perfume. Maybe scented lotion or bath oil or something? Just my guess. Maybe somebody else can tell you age from the cap--it looks plastic, is it?

Hi,
It is a plastic, screw top. I have found other bottles with plastic tops from the 1940's. So, I assume it is from that era. The only way I could really find out what it is would be for someone to recognize the bottle, if it was comercially produced. It is quite distinctive. I guess I would have to take it to an expert in antique cosmetics.
