Pontil base oval

Found this today. Unsure of its former contents but it’s got a nice rough pontil scar. Any help in an ID welcome.

Could be, but aren't most of those round?

The glass is fairly light for its size. Asking around, the answer with the most votes is: cosmetic/perfumer product.
Also there was zero residue in the bottle before cleanup, unusual for dyes, bootblack, ink, etc..
