River Side Dump

Last week my dad showed me where one of the old local mills dumped trash; this place is a few miles from any civilization right near the river. All the snow melted and it looked like a very nice day, so I threw my digging tools and bike in the car and drove down. I had to bike to the spot since it was so far away but there is a nice bike trail that gets me right to the place. I decided to stop and take a picture of the river.

Finally after a good long bike ride, I reached the spot.

The spot is right near the river. I could see it from the beginning of the dump.

Dug a few test holes with not much luck and finally hit an intact bottle on probably the 5th test hole.

Looks like another beer down in the ashes, by this time a few other beers came out when I was removing shovel fulls of ash and rust.

Made a little progress, next time I will have to bring my large shovel.
