Howdy ya'll!!! After seeing everyone's great digging stories lately, diggin' like human backhoes, I had to post a couple of recent digs. Went to the honey hole last Saturday with a digger named Rusty. We dug for about 5 hours. He sifted and came out with two nice tokens, some marbles, and other misc. I dug a newer hole to the bottom, found quite a few bottles, a local tailor token, couple marbles, two dolls, doll arm and leg, a religious charm, 1913 wheat penny and misc. tops including an aluminum Borden's top. Must of been a past digger's thirst quencher.

Tuesday, I went digging for about 5 hours by myself, which I do not encourage, and found some pretty cool stuff. Several bottles, a sterling thimble with a village scene, 1908-O barber dime, 1946-S rosie dime (which is the newest coin found to date there), a 1920 wheat penny, a cast iron horse, honey amber syringe, a tiny boy doll, and a few marbles.

Here is the hole I was digging in. Bottom was about six feet.

A nice two-tone amber Rawleighs. This one will look sweet in the window.

This is one of those E.J. BURKE with the cat embossed on the base. I have found black glass and olive, but this is definitely the lightest color that I have found. It has a nice crude, drippy, applied crowntop which was a topic not long ago.
