Hey I'm not saying he's the end all be all, just ten months in isn't enough time to judge his Presidency. No expected him to wave a wand and everything would be hearts and butterflies. If things aren't to my liking after four years he won't get a vote from me for a second round. At the very least he brought the image of the office up to dignified level. That's enough for now.

Actually Lobey you and I agree on something, ten months isn't really long enough to really get much done unless you happen to be the Christ child yourself especially in politics. Actually the problem is that some of those who voted for him expected just that, he would wave a wand and they would get their free money. That didn't happen, and because a lot of those people never paid any attention to politics until he came along they don't yet realize that this is just the way it goes, nothing really changes in Washington and anyone we send there are going to play the same political games. If he would just lay off of this "You do exactly what I want or else" mentality then I wouldn't have much of a problem with him, but you can't talk bi-partisanship out of one side of your mouth, and then bash those who don't follow your idea of it with the other. It's just illogical.

Wow, I'm drunk again and I think that point actually hurt coming out. LOL!

Did anyone catch the Obama skit at the front of Saturday Night Live this week, basically it was "I got the nobel prize for not being Bush." LOL!

Amen Jamie, Lobey, Gunther and Joe. All four of you are well spoken and put my thoughts into words better than I could. Jamie, hang in there. You have people who really care about you on here. Have hope. It will get better and your mind and spirit will be at ease when The President makes these changes.

P.S. I'm not religious, but if there was ever a good example of the good it can do, it is Jamie (Glassman)

I THANK YOU AND JOE, LAUR! I WANT BETTER FOR ALL THAT ARE HURTING AND HAVE NO VOICE! THIS REALLY WAS NOT ABOUT ME,BUT 7,000 PEOPLE SHOW UP FOR FOOD AND THOUGH THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD SO MANY WERE STILL TURNED AWAY! IT JUST AIN'T BEING TOLD HOW BAD I THINK IT REALLY IS JUST FROM THIS ONE THING THAT HAPPENED HERE.
WE HAVE HAD "FOOD PANTRIES" AND OTHERS GIVING AWAY FOOD HERE FOR YEARS,BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS!
I AM AWARE OBAMA CAN'T CHANGE THINGS OVERNIGHT AND NEVER EXPECTED IT TO HAPPEN. BUT IT SEEMS HE AND THE DEM. CONGRESS ARE DRAGGING THEIR FEET.

I WATCHED PRES. BUSH AND HIS REP. CONGRESS DO ONE BILL AFTER ANOTHER WITH PRETTY GOOD SPEED! SO THIS PRES. AND THIS CONGRESS HAD BETTER GET TO IT AND QUIT TRYING TO APPEASE THE OPPOSITION CAUSE THEY ARE PROVING THEY WILL GIVE ON NOTHING EXCEPT TO KEEP THE STATUS QUO!

The problem with the current President and Democratic congress is not that they are dragging their feet it's just that they have gotten themselves stuck in their own agenda created quagmire with the health care bill. Even with all of Obama's talk of bi-partisanship, which is just talk when that means "do it my way or else", he and the congress has repeatedly seemed completely unwilling to listen to any other plan or compromise. Unfortunately, for those who think that a Democrat run dictatorship would show more results, a Republic, which we are a part of, demands a certain amount of compromise, not this continued "We got elected so shut up" attitude. The public are seeing this crap and will reward these idiots in kind soon enough, even good liberals are getting tired of this crap from their own party and its starting to show.

I do have to say one thing, remember when the Democrats won the majority during the last two years of the Bush administration, and they told you that they were going to get things done and change the status quo, then immediately sat on their thumbs and did nothing but talk for two years? Do you really expect the same people with an even bigger majority now, and a delusional view of themselves as being ordained by the people without being smart enough to realize that the support of the people is a very fickle thing which demands results immediately, would act any differently? Would it be more likely that they were rewarded for sitting on their non-productive behinds by the voters this time, and figure so long as their party holds power the people will follow along like the sheep they are?

You reward a person for being lazy and they will never endevour to be anything other.

You had better watch out Glassman, you keep pointing out the problems of the present administration and you might end up being labeled a racist.[:D]

Oh yes they did!!! That's why most people voted for him. They thought he really could do all the crap he was spewing. They thought he was going to give out money and right some terrible wrong that was never done them by anyone living. I owe my God and my family my devotion and love. I owe my country my allegiance. Everyone else is on a one to one basis but I owe no one for the past history of our country and I don't apologize for it either. It is what made this country strong.

I am looking for the candidate who will tell the truth....you know....the "I can't create any jobs but we will do what we can to fix things" guy not more of the same party line crap. The government has let us down, terribly. It is not just one party or the other it is all of them. Take a good look at the Republicans, a really good look. "There are too many Dems and we can't do anything. Be the last man standing at least. Instead they are hiding and hoping that they will be reelected because 1/3 third of the Dems in office right now are so friggin spooky that they scare the elderly and children. I have no vote for anyone one in office right now and until someone proves that they are willing to listen to what the people want and actually act on that (Not talking about the weirdos) they have no vote from me. Politicians like Lieberman and some of the other flip flop side changers are out just as well. I figered we were in for a bad ride when he droped the Democrat party. Those people from the top down are so stupid that they thing they can buy the country out of a hole they put us in. Stupidity is so rampant on capital hill that our country is not being run at all. Try to find someone who really does love this country and vote everyone in office right now out.

My brother-in-law is Director of Nursing at a large nursing home. After the election he had two LPNs quit. They told him that now that Obama was president they did not need to work anymore. He was floored. Now that has nothing to do with Obama himself and I am sure he would be shaking his head too, but it gives you an idea of the thinking of some folks that voted for him.

My friend you will be looking a long time, because that politician doesn't exist any longer, if they even really did.

WOW! Where do I start, First I really do care about you Jamie as I do everyone else. You really shouldnt speak of which you know nothing of. Second, I come from a family that was raised in the Baptist church. My mother started a deaf ministry in two different churches. Because I am tired of getting raked over the coals by my governent does not mean I dont care.

My freind I have done more for my community then you could ever imagine. I was a rec. sport coach for twenty years. I spent thousands of hours molding the youth of this country. I sacrificed alot of money to care for your children. Till this day I have many kids who call me, just to say hello. Some call when they are in trouble. I have sacrificed time with my own family to help these kids. I am not bragging, but when you question weather I care I feel a need to defend myself.

You are a gentle soul, my venom isnt directed at you personally but at my goverment. Personally I think the administrations of the last fifty years have sold us down the river. Excludeing none. Now they want to pass a health care bill that is totally a socialist system. They tell us that we will be required to have a health plan. It is going to cost BILLIONS of dollars. How is that going to lower health cost? Who is gonna pay for it? Do you really care? Do you have compassion for people who pay for all this? Do you care about my granddaughter who will have to pay for this? Who really is the one that dosnt care?

They are going to tax premium insurance plans like unions have. (no I am not in a union) Everyone who now has insurance, your premiums will go up. Thats a fact. Do you care? How many people live week to week? How much more taxes can they bare? Do you care? I know six people who collect disability. Only one of them deserves it. One guy I know worked for the state, he worked at a youth jail facility. A young idian boy was there and sat on a sink in the bathroom to clean his tailend after going to the bathroom. ( a common practice in other countries) This guy walks in on him and flips out. Goes and gets a crowbar and rips the sink off the wall. They retire him, says hes whacked and now he collects disability. I know another guy who recieved a kidney transplant, Yes very serious. But a year later he is healthy as a horse.
Now 12 years later he has yet to go to work. During the time off he has fathered 6 children. Who do you think payed for those children? Now he says he cant afford to go to work. Hell Alonzo Morning had a kidney transplant and was back playing professional basketball a year later. Should I care about this guy and his 6 kids? Why should I have to pay for his irresponsibility?

Why do you not care about my goverment taking my money? Because its not going to cost you one cent. I feel for you and your wife. God knows that you two are barely making it. But my freind you are making it. I bet you never miss a meal.
I bet if you get sick there is a doctor who will see you. I bet that the roof over your head is subsidized. So insatead of giving me greif and questioning my faith in god and weather I care, you should be thanking me for going to work everyday to make sure the goverment stays afloat. Thanking me that I continue to pay my taxes.

I know it sounds harsh, but this is the reality of it. Everyone wants to put their hand out. They want the goverment to take care of them. When in fact its the working people of this country who are taking care of those in need. Where in the hell do people think this money comes from?
