I appreciate all of the input from my original post: "Need some advice about an outhouse. Thanks! ". With your responses I decided to give it a shot. It was raining heavily yesterday and I was very disappointed that I could not go out to the property. Today it was nice and we started out towards the outhouse. I stopped by the house once again to look around. Being caved in it was not much to look at. After closer inspection we found a hoard of green glass lightning rod insulators and their clamps, a purple glass lightning rod ornament and three of the four lightning rods with copper finials. The forth lightning is nestled at the base of the second story fireplace that currently has no floor or safe access. It has another globe, so we are trying to figure out a way to get to it without getting injured. We found a 1920's Orange Crush Bottle ( Local Columbia, SC) bottler, nestled in between to pieces of wood. It is in perfect shape. I still have to clean them all, but what a find. You can see why I have not gotten to the privy yet, but I will keep everyone posted as I get to the privy area. Thanks again!
