Since we had poked out another pit on Saturday afternoon we decided to break with tradition and do a Sunday dig. As expected, this one was a TC "jammer", only 5 feet square and 4 feet deep, a typical redwood lined late pit. There was all sorts of heavy metal junk tossed into the pit, and buster sewer pipes that had to be removed to access the "meat" of the matter. All together we took about 50 embossed milks, beers, and local pharmacies from that little privy.

I'll try the multiple posting trick. If it won't work, I ain't gonna bother with it again.

get an account with flickr, it works so much better! a few of us from the forum went out sunday also hoping to get some good privvy action, after dealing with 2 feet of rather large stones we hit some glass but the second bottle to come out of the hole was a 1970's screw top pepsi, it was surronded by clear unembossed meds, such a shame. []

Sorry, Nick, but prob'ly one of my ABDs. I also found one on Sat with a Bud bottle at 5'. I always toss back "generic" bottles, as well a some embossed "clunkers". Likewise the crummy ceramic ginger beers and ales. Don't want them clogging up space.

TOC is better then no dig at all.[;)]

Why don't you just post one pic at a time cal? if your posting 20 pix that one thing but 4 pix is no big deal to post one at a time.Posting multi pix is a pain anyway, why do you think not many people do it?

OK. How about a cluster of 1870s whiskies and a nice western med less than 6" underground.

Post some pictures of the local pharmacies when you get a chance. Great dig!

OK, here are some of them. Counterclockwise from top right are A.C.Collins, Davisville, Cal, 3 sizes J.W Campbell, Davisville, Cal, Justin Gates, Sacramento, and G.S.Wait, Sacramento. We dug many more over the past month, but most are barely washed. They are from all over the area, but did come from one town. 1870s to 1890s.
