Took the day off today, too hot to dig (save it, Rick) so I'm pondering a few of my finds. What was this used for?

2 1/2 oz, hmmm, just a guess, but I'd have to say either juice or baby milk?? I've found a few Welchs Jr grape juice bottles about that size, and I know baby milk came in small bottles too. Good luck ID'ing it!

Baby milk? Is that milk for babies? Or just a name given to a small bottle of milk? Just curious, I've found a few too and just though they were small bottles of milk. Just for fun is Baby milk form a baby cow? lol I already know the answer that it ani't but I just had to ask!

It appears to be a small grape juice bottle. Several companies around the toc used that style for grape juice. I have a labeled one here somewhere from welch. Last year I dug a toc dump that had several of them in it both tooled top and early abm. I suppose other things could have come in it also.

I have seen that same size and style bottle that held three different products in it. Battery oil, Blue Bird grape juice and Eagle Brand cream. My wife also dug a pile of the in a school dump which leands to the cream/mike/grape juice thing.

Thanks Bill. I was out your way eating at the Bee Hive in Augusta the other day. The food was awful but there's some great old houses out there - more than a few old privies I'm sure. - Jim
