Hello,Does anyone know whether or not the rare variant colors of bottles were intentional, or were they an accidental batch of glass that came out an unusual color? For example, the PUCE Dr. Townshend's bottle that gets a lot of attention.Or the lime green Bitter's bottle variants? Too much iron or copper in the glass mix? Or a marketing gimmick? Thanks,

Incidental might be a better word. Some were intentional but more often it could be to much of something or the addition of broken stuff that got thrown into the batch. Colors when mixed change.I remember my first discovery of that when I was very young. It wasn't playing with crayons, it was peeing into the bowl with tidy bowl or something. Blue and yellow made green!!! I was amazed!!![:D]You can try that at home.[:)] I hope that's not too disgusting.

So do you think that Puce Dr. Townshend's was incidental or intentional?
