Very Old Doll

This was found in the rafters wrapped in old newspapers. The building is well over 100 years old and in Philadelphia. Not much into dolls but maybe someone knows something on it.

The fact that she is complete is pretty neat , any markings on the back of her neck ?

The mold seams on the arms look almost like metal. And those cankles! wow! I'm not into dolls, either, but it's still a cool find that someone would probably love to have.

It is not rubber. It almost seems like wood under the few chips of paint. I cannot fin any marking on her but dont want to touch too much. Who knows but i know it was in the rafters for a reason. Papers wrapped in it were from 1925. The little glass hand painted thing is cool too. No metal. The inside attachment for arms appears to have string attached to something to allow the arms to swing. I dont know but some doll collector does and it can be theirs!

I want to call the material the arms are made of is called composition , then too , I could be full of it . I have seen dolls made of this kind of material before .

What is Composition and What is a Composition Doll?:
Composition is generally a mixture of glue mixed with sawdust. Heavier and denser than paper mache, composition is easily molded and is thus an excellent material to make doll heads. Composition was used to make doll bodies for many years, from approximately the late 1870s, long before it was widely used to make doll heads.
