Hi there......Here is a photo of 3 rough pontiled bottles
and I wonder if someone can tell me which type they
might be. The tallest is 12 1/4" high, olive green and a
rough pontil on a blue-tinged kickup. The second is amber &
10 3/4" high with a sharp pontil on the kickup. The third is olive,
8 /12" tall and is a 3-part mold with a finished pontil
on the kickup. All are crudely made. My guess is wine,
whiskey and beer in that order, but I know someone more
knowledgable will be able to set me straight if I'm wrong.
Thanks! [:)]

wine, whiskey and beer in no particular order (although the one on the left is more likely a wine), most likely had more beer/porter than anything but they are generic type bottles that where for nearly everything that would fit in the top.

That one on the left is interesting, looks really early, they are all pretty early for that matter [;)] .

Oooh nice OLD bottles...

An important thing to consider is that often a local merchant would bring a barrel of whiskey/win/rum etc., and then decant it into bottles for local sale.

This means that although the style may be that of a particular beverage, the reality was often to use or reuse any bottle that came to hand, particularly in areas where spply of new bottles was difficlt or expensive. With that in mind though, yes, I'd go for wine, whiskey, beer or whiskey, left to right.
