picked this up today locally. it's in nice shape with a hinge mold, graphite pontil base. just put it in the tumbler. i'll post next week when it's finished.

i took it out after 3 days. this is the first time i've tumbled a graphite pontil bot and i got nervous. got pretty nice, but now that i know i won't wreck the pontil, i can turn it again. little duct tape and a foam ball from Dollar General did the trick.

hinge mold base with a couple of vents that look like eyeballs. i might have lost a bit of the graphite. not bad for my first try?

I love those little XXXs. If I don't dig one soon, I will probably break down and buy one. That is something I don't do often (I'm cheap [:D]), but that is a bottle that I have always liked. Your tumbling job looks good. She shines in the light, and most of the pontil material was preserved. ~Jim

thanx Jim. i bid on a couple nicely whittled aqua xxx graphites on Ebay, but didn't get them. when i saw this green one at a friends house for sale, i figured go for it. my year long foot issues are coming to an end ( finally and Amen ), so i hope to be doing some digging myself soon.............
