While rummaging around the attic I found a bag of insulators I got as a kid from a downed pole on our ranch. I thought it was a shame to just leave them in the attic so I made a display stand for some of them.

I don't collect insulators but have to say that's pretty neat!

I was just thinking about buying some of those threaded wood posts to make a display myself. Yours looks great, good work!

Wooden dowels work. I think an end of a cheap wooden pole (painters extention or cheap bloom handle) would work also . They are threaded.

I was thinking the same. Looking on Etsy and eBay you can find people selling multiples of them for a decent price so you could get the original weather look.

I saw that also. They are cut on a slant square on the bottom and turn round at the top with threads. Some prices on them vary greatly.

I'm not much of a collector, some of the insulators had an "H" on them and some had a diamond, so I just combined them into a single mark. I did go on Ebay and buy some original pegs.
