I took this video shortly before we had an earthquake. I felt the bed sjaking for a good ten seconds or so and called Joe out of the shower to sit on my bed and see if he could feel it. He was pretty mad. I told him I thought we just had an earthquake. Sure enough, a news bulleting came on saying there was a 5.5 earthquake on the Ontario-Quebec-NY state border. This is my first real earthquake that I've felt. Our cat kept meowing before it happened. We were puzzled. She's always talkative, but was talking non-stop this time. Here are two videos, taken right before the quake.

The only earthquake I ever felt was when I was camping. I woke up on the ground, on my deflated air mattress, beneath my hammock wondering why an earth mover was roaming the forest. Felt great on my back after a night of drinkin' and wrestlin'. Swiz

Holy crap that would have scared me....I remember once when I was about 10 we felt some small tremors and I could see my moms plants shaking up and down on the window sill....
Really makes you wonder whats going on with the good old earth...she's been really active and showing some wrath in different parts of the world.
At least it wasn't bad and your ok!!![&:] Good thing none of your bottles got broke!!!

.............Not so much "mad",...as startled,[] It sounded as though there were ax murderers loose in the house....[8|]Of course with the water running you can only hear tones, and not words.[:)]

We didn't feel anything here. Too far away.
I'll have to watch the videos when I get home - are they of the cat crying?
