I was wondering if anyone could help me identify a maker's mark. It;s on a 6" high, 16 sided mini clear jug with finger hook handle at top. It has a screw top. On the bottom of the jug there is a square embossed with a thick letter V that has no space in it like a V normally does, like a fat block letter embossed inside the square. Above the symbol it has the numbers 5113 and below the square is the number 3 in a sligthly smaller square. Any info on jug in general would be nice too, but I cant find info on this marking anywhere. Also, I know how the whole pic needed thing works but I just dont have my webcam right now so I cannot.
Thanks so much! -Little[;)]

If you have a scanner, you could try scanning the mark. :)

Hey Brooke, Your jug was made in Italy. The mark replaced VT which was for Vetrerie Triventa, Vicenza , Italy. It is now just Vicenza, Vencenz, Italy.

It probably held a wine sample or wine vinegar.

There are many foreign glass co. still in business. Some have changed their name or location and many new ones have started up over the years. Since there is no standardization from one country to the next their markings can be hard to ID.

Hey Brooke, To post your pic check Embed picyure in post and then Click here to upload and they will show up in your post.

The jug is worth $3 to $5 but the Devillbliss atomizer is worth about $30 in good condition. Devilbliss is still in business but they make paint spray equipment now days.
