The number one bottle has what some people refer to as a refired pontil. I have never exactly been able to figure out exactly what a refired pontil is. Maybe someone can shed some light. Slimdigger

I was looking at bottles one and three. The have the same type of lip and likely made by the same tool. Where as number 2 is clearly different. Would this be a good indicator of the age of the bottle or is it fair to say that the tools used in making the lip of the bottle where around for a long time
