I recently changed my email address which resulted in my having to re-register under a different name. My new name is now ...

Sodabob ... and was formerly Sodapopbob

Now I can get email notifications and will be posting this message on various other threads in order to get notifications from those as well.

Hello. WOW. I have been looking for Star Beverage Company in CA. My grandfather worked for or owned Star Beverage Company I believe in Stockton.
Do you have any information about the company?

I was on page 4 of this thread before I realized it was 7 yrs old. The interest and intrigue were great. Just for giggles I checked some bottles I have, lots of AB co bottles with the yy s or yy n code. Lo and behold a 7 oz amber slick with 28 S 5 on the heel. Very similar to the one in question. Maybe OI found a few hundred crates of these in 1935 and applied a new 7up ACL label as Sodabob postulates. The OP posted bottle is a AB Co bottle almost certainly. …. Thanks all for the good read.
