i am trying to learn a little about the various closures/stoppers. Thank you http://www.sodasandbeers.com/index.html
As best i can tell i have examples of Hutchinson, Lightning, Putnam and Hutter
are there any that are particularly desirable or is it a function of rarity?
does an intact closure increase the value of the bottle? (i would assume yes)
apologies if i am posting this on the wrong forum

A nice non-rusty closure for sure increases the value of the Lightning, Putnam, Hutter, and so forth. Hutch sodas not so much. Rare closure bottles can be quite desirable, especially some of the earlier ones. If you are interested in closures I highly recommend the book "Saving the Fizz".
