Looks like it was for vinegar? Glass is clear. Stopper has what looks like a three piece mold while I don't see any mold lines on the main piece.[attachment=IMG_2489.JPG][attachment=IMG_2491.JPG]
it is not a repro its just a nice decanter.People must relies glass steal is being made by hand.iv blown mugs, bottles. paperweights, and I woud not call them repros.
Well I went to a bottle show in Bradenton FL. yesterday with the main intention to look at applied handled bottles and I saw at least twenty of them. I felt that every darned one was a reproduction. Prices were ridiculously low in the 30 to 75 range. Now if one had a furnace and the materials, electric, lehr, pipes etc. to make them - it would cost more than ten times the total cost if you bought all of them. So I bought one for 25 and couldn't keep from it. It has a neat handle with a thumb holder, double bar tool applicator used, a neat emblem applied seal, an punty rod pontil, unique applied finish - all made out of beautiful green glass. My better half had only gave me 40 when I left and said I didn't need any more bottles. Maybe so but I got two of them and came home with a smile. It was a great show and everyone was very friendly. I even saw four of our old bottle club members and this sparked some hope for our club getting back in sharing time and bottle stories together again. Great day. RED Matthews
