Todays dig was interesting to say the least....Fred and I got together early, to beat the heat, and headed to the local coffee shop to meet Penn Digger,... Once we got on site, the place looked remarkably different,....there was the trench that Tom had em' dig, also, I couldnt help wonder the last time this building site saw any daylight?....We got to digging and the beautiful sunny day began to crank up the heat.....We all picked a likely spot and settled down to dig. We had many visitors during our dig,...Some guy with a metal detector (whom actually asked for permission),....A local digger in his 70's looking to jump on board (long story) I mentioned that it was a tricky permission, and that Tom would be right back, then Tom arrived back from an errand and politely informed him the same,...he was unphased...."Let them throw me out then" he said, and proceeded to dig, and regal us with tales of all the places he'd been thrown out of over the years! Then a visit from the local police,....(The cop left happy after Tom gave him some bottles)[:D]Then a visit from the propertyowners puzzled brother, (He didn't know what we were doing) Then some guy looking to buy the cast iron bathtub sitting next to the excavator! LoL......anyhow,...perfect summer day,....turned hotter than the hinges of He**,.....we dug from 10:00am till around 2pm.....Here's some pictures.

Unfortunately my camera jammed with dirt, and I wasn't able to get too many more dig pictures, nor the awesome scarlet bird Fred and I encountered on an after dig scouting ride. Just to the right of where Fred's digging, the first interesting 'non-bottle" find appeared,......MY KEYS FROM LAST MONTH![:D][:D][:D][:D] unbelievably, they were under there all that time, then after being dug up and relocated by the excavator, I dug them way over where Fred was digging!

I'll start with some pics of the finds,....By the way,....when we first got there, Fred walked up to a spot,....proclaimed it good, and with a single stroke of his shovel pulled out a way nice "Ayer's" bottle, which I'll get some pics of later....[;)]

For anyone who didn't read the original drugstore dig post,...around a month ago, these little guys caused us a flatbed tow to the dealership, plus $100 dollars for a pair of replacements....[]

I still marvel that the building was brought down, the debris scooped up and hauled away, the dirt moved all over, and we still found them......(shaking head)[:)]
